Pat Vassar is Ignite Funding’s Director of Underwriting. Mr. Vassar has 20 years of experience in real estate analysis and underwriting. At Ignite Funding, he is responsible for identifying quality borrowing entities and the in-depth analysis and underwriting of all real estate assets before they are offered to investors.
Mr. Vassar has extensive experience both in underwriting loans and selling real estate assets. He has underwritten more than $1.8 billion in loans at Ignite and sold more than $80 million in real estate assets. Prior to joining Ignite Funding, he underwrote over $200 million in development and acquisitions for purchase in industrial projects.
Mr. Vassar oversees the day-to-day management of an approximately $400 million real estate portfolio as well as, when applicable, the process of disposing of real estate assets through foreclosure or deed in lieu for the best possible return to investors. Prior to his time at Ignite Funding, he served two years in the primary capacity for CM Capital Services in which he was responsible for the disposition of the portfolio originally valued more than $400 million, and the origination of $30 million in trust deed investments.
Prior to relocating to Nevada, Mr. Vassar spent five years as a primary financial analyst in Denver, Colorado. He was also actively involved in local charity work in Denver, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and the Denver Soup Kitchen.
Mr. Vassar holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance and earning dual minors in Economics and Real Estate from the University of Colorado. In addition, he obtained a Master of Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver, graduating with Honors.
Outside of the office, Mr. Vassar can be found exploring the great outdoors hiking, mountain biking, and skiing among pine trees. His great joy in life is having new experiences with his young family.
